Retail Therapy

Last week Natalie, Godmother/Auntie Pinky and I went on our weekly rendezvous to Santana Row in San Jose for some much needed retail therapy. Natalie is quite the mall rat. I'm a bad influence already. lol. What can I say?!?! Shopping is in her blood. Hehe.

Our day started out fabulous by finding the perfect parking spot near the parking lot entrance. It was so busy that day I knew God helped us out with that one I say that only because after driving in circles I had said out loud, "Please God help us find a good parking spot." Hehe. God is fabulous! After taking out the stroller from the trunk and unbuckling Natalie from her car seat (its a lot of work), we were finally ready to have some lunch. Our stomachs were growling. We were cranky and fussy...we were hungry. There were so many good restaurants, we had no idea what we wanted but when we saw Blowfish Sushi, we knew right there and then Japanese it is! Natalie was surprisingly in a good mood (just woke up from a nap in the car).
Natalie loves Japanese food! Her fave would have to be the miso soup with rice. She loves it! But on that day, she surprised me by snatching both my shrimp tempuras from my bento box and started to eat them and even dipped in the sauce they gave. Both her Auntie Pinky and I were shocked and laughed out loud! I wasn't sure whether to take the shrimps from her or let her eat it because I never gave her shrimp before and I was afraid she might get another allergic reaction and I didn't bring any benadryl with me. I was not prepared. She liked it so much...I took a chance and nothing. No allergic reaction. I was relieved! and happy! We had a delicious lunch! I'm glad Auntie Pinky liked her deep fried chicken ("they weren't kidding when they said deep fried" LMAO!) Thanks again for a super deliciousness lunch Auntie Pinky! (She took care of the bill hehe) Gotta love godmothers! lol.
Natalie's beautiful Auntie Pinky!
I used to do this face all the time when I was little (I have old kid pics to prove it lol) and I occasionally still do it but only to Ryan. hehe.
Natalie is wearing a dress from Crewcuts, button-up polo from H&M and gold flats from Old Navy.
The two shrimp tempuras Natalie took. hehe.
Oh yeah! Natalie was even flirting with our waiter. lol. He gave her an extra miso soup to eat. hehe. And was calling her "Natalia" the whole time we were there. lol.

Busy Bee

I've been on cruise control and haven't been turned off just yet. This weekend we will be leaving for Seattle for my cousins wedding. Excited but nervous. Nervous for how Natalie will be on the plane. Don't want to piss off any passengers with a fussy cranky baby. Need to be prepared for any possible scenarios. You never know what your going to get with Natalie. She's emotional and sensitive (like me hehe). It will be Natalie's first time on a plane and I'm pretty anxious how our experience will be. Not to mention, it will be both Ryan and Natalie's first time in Washington. We have 5 full days of Seattle fun and I'm excited for them. It will be my second time.

I've been running around town on a hunt for the perfect dress to wear for my cousin's wedding. After going to 5 different malls (went to the city and santana row twice) and....still NOTHING. It's not that Im being picky...I just have this vision of the dress I would like to wear and I know its out there somewhere. I want a simple fancy dress that won't show my arms (obsessed with my fat arms do not want to show them). Ryan says I should of done something about them long time ago but getting my butt back in the gym is so hard for me to do. I hate the gym. I still have 3 more days to find me the perfect ensemble. Wish me luck hehe.

I've been busy working on birthday invitations and Save the Dates for a new client of mines. I am pleased to be working with their amazing "wedding coordinator" (aka my cousin-in-law) LOL. Will post pictures soon.

Our oven has been on major over-time. My sister was asked to bake 150 cupcakes and 100 jumbo size cookies for a festival held in Yerba Buena in San Francisco last Saturday. It was such an honor to be apart of something so festive! It was my first time as well as Natalie's and we had such a blast. Wish I brought my camera to take pictures but that day was total chaos. The last thing on my mind was my camera. My sister has been quite the baker lately. Orders are piling up. Thanks to everyone and their support.

Hello Kitty Party

This past Sunday, my god daughter, Lana Love celebrated her 1st birthday. My daughter is only about 3 weeks older. These girls were destined to be BFF's hehe =)

The theme of her party was Hawaiian Hello Kitty. This lucky girl happend to come back from Hawaii the day before her party. Can we say spoiled? LOL! Haha =) I wish I could celebrate my birthday in Hawaii! I was in jealous mode! Hehe. She had the perfect tan!

Her birthday party was held at a cute park. I was bummed out because Natalie couldn't play in the water. She caught a bad cold and was kept in the shade all afternoon. She loved the grass! She kept trying to eat it! LOL! My Natalie eats anything I tell ya! Hahaha =) Not only did she enjoy a nice afternoon with family and friends but she absolutely looooooved the fried chicken legs they served at the party. She finished not 1 but 4 chicken legs! Down to the bone! LOL! Her Daddy feeds her anything! I try to give her sweets in moderation but she'l keep asking for more! Natalie has one big sweet tooth! That's one thing she got from me! Hehe =)

Lana's party was adorable! The only down fall was the weather, it was not cooperating with us that was so windy! Perfect for the Hello Kitty kites that Lana's Mommy gave out. Ryan was a kid again! He was gone for a while trying to get his kite going after many failing attempts! Funny seeing a grown man flying a Hello Kitty kite but it was cute! LOL! All the banners I made for Lana blew away! They were literally tortured by the wind! Piece by piece! But other than that, it was nothing but sweet sailing! Lana's Mommy ordered goodies from Sweet Plush Shoppe (chocolate cake pops, ice cream cone cake bites, pear bars and Bibinka-filipino dessert cake). And, she had the cutest cake with a dancing tahitian Hello Kitty from her god mother Melissa. It was all deliciousness! Nothing but love at Lana Love's party! I hope the birthday girl had a blast! I'm so happy I was apart of her beautiful celebration!

After taking 10 pictures, my camera battery died! I was in disbelief! Sucks! Here are a few I took and some of my favs from others....

Wedding in the future?

I still think about my wedding...Ryan and I always wanted a wedding. Before we had Natalie, I was already planning my big day. I had the date set, an entourage picked out, already made arrangements with a church and was ready to make my deposit for my reception. But then, I found out I was pregnant with Natalie and my dream wedding was put on hold.

Because of the surprising news, Ryan and I both agreed to get married before the baby was born. I got married in San Francisco's gorgeous City Hall. I held a lunch for all who attended the ceremony at Kincaid's restaurant. Then later that evening, we had a small intimate dinner with our close family and friends at a Chinese restaurant. The thought of my wedding reception being in a Chinese restaurant saddens me...don't get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with a Chinese restaurant, its just that, it wasn't the reception I envisioned for me. I remember crying to Ryan that this was not how I dreamed my reception would be. It still dawns on me on why didn't I pick a better restaurant or why didn't I plan a small cute wedding. At that time, I had so much thoughts going through my mind. I was feeling stressed and not to mention I was 11 weeks pregnant so I was feeling extremely emotional. But, now that I had time to think about it, it bothers me so much that I could of done things differently.

Now, that we got Natalie's christening and 1st birthday out of the way...Ryan and I thought it would be the best time to finally have our wedding. This past year, we've been contemplating, going back and forth if we should still have our wedding. There are times when we feel discouraged because we're afraid of what other people might think if we told them we're having a wedding. And other times, we feel why have a wedding we're already married. And simply, its not cheap to plan a wedding.

But when I start thinking about how cute it would be seeing my baby girl walking down the aisle as my flower girl...I get emotional and say yes to the dress! LOL! =D I don't want a big wedding. I just want a small, intimate wedding where only the people who matter to me and Ryan will be there. Its either now or never. Will I have a wedding in the future? Destination wedding? We'l just have to wait and see!

Babiekins Magazine

My Natalie is officially a Babiekins (trendsetting child)! What can I say....she does dress better than me! LOL! I couldn't be more excited! I honestly didn't think it was going to happen. I thought they forgot about the whole thing and I was going to be left disappointed. To make matters worst, I already put it out there for all my family and friends to see via facebook and I couldn't let them down. In the end, it happened! My baby's photo was published for all to see. Babiekins magazine is amazing. A great resource for all mothers to read and be inspired. Its such a fun and entertaining magazine! A must read!

Check out her small feature at this cute new magazine!
